Artificial Intelligence Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
1. Introduction and purpose
At Xternus (COVER DIGITAL SL) we use artificial intelligence as a working tool and, in some cases, in the content we publish on this site or deliver to our clients. This policy explains when, where and within what limits we do so, which decisions remain reserved to humans, and what rights you have in this regard.
This policy complements our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.
2. What we mean by "AI"
For the purposes of this policy, AI means any system that generates or transforms text, voice, image or video from automated models, as well as systems that classify, score or segment responses, profiles or content.
3. Where AI-generated or AI-assisted content may appear
3.1 Images
Some illustrative images, editorial portraits and decorative compositions on this site may have been generated or retouched with AI tools. We do not use images depicting identifiable real people without their explicit authorization.
3.2 Voices and videos in testimonials
The client opinions we showcase are real and have been collected with consent. How they are presented, however, may include authorized synthetic representations: dubbed voices, translations read by AI-generated voice, audiovisual reconstructions or avatars. In these cases we hold written authorization from the client who provided the original opinion.
The underlying opinion is always faithful to what the client told us; the voice, face or format may not be the original.
3.3 Text
Articles, case studies, service descriptions, FAQs and other site content may be drafted with the assistance of language models, always under human editorial review. Specific data, figures and quotes are verified before publication.
3.4 Translations
Other-language versions of the site may be produced with the help of machine translation and reviewed by humans. If you spot an inaccurate translation, please let us know at sales@xternus.com.
4. Automated classification of visitors and leads
Some forms on the site (contact, self-assessment, assessment, event registration) may feed systems that classify or prioritize responses to organize commercial follow-up. This classification is always an input for people on our team, never a binding automated decision.
Under article 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you or significantly affect you. At Xternus we do not take such decisions in a purely automated way: any commercial, hiring or contractual decision is made by a person.
If you want to know how your request was classified or to request human review, write to us at privacy@xternus.com.
5. What we do not do
- We do not publish fabricated testimonials or opinions that do not come from a client identifiable on our side.
- We do not use the voice, face or name of real people without their authorization.
- We do not make hiring, selection or commercial-contracting decisions solely from an automated system.
- We do not train our own or third-party models on identifiable personal data of our clients without a clear and disclosed legal basis.
- We do not use AI to generate reviews, ratings or mentions of third parties without their knowledge.
6. How we flag affected content
When a specific piece on the site contains a meaningful synthetic representation (voice, video, portrait), we mark it with a visible caption or label next to the content. The absence of a label means the content is human, or that AI assistance was marginal and editorially irrelevant (e.g. spell-checking or paragraph reordering).
7. Vendors and subprocessors
For some of these tasks we work with specialized vendors (language models, voice and image generation, machine translation). We apply the same data-protection guarantees as for other subprocessors: contract, minimum security standards and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses for international transfers. The current list of vendors is available upon request and is referenced in our Privacy Policy.
8. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Ask whether a specific piece of content on the site has been generated or assisted by AI.
- Request human review of any automated classification of your responses or data.
- Object to automated processing under article 22 GDPR.
- Request rectification, deletion or portability of your data under our Privacy Policy.
To exercise these rights, write to us at privacy@xternus.com.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy will evolve as our use of AI evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, communicated through our usual channels.
